Experimental Investigation of Annular Flow Behaviour in Horizontal Pipe

The experimental investigations of annular flow were conducted in horizontal pipe using water/air a 0.0504m internal diameter loop with total length 28.68m. To understand behaviors, conductivity ring sensors, conductance probe sensors and Olympia high speed digital camera used. In all the experiments, emphasis on behavior, phase distribution liquid film thickness. Liquid thickness was observed to be thicker mostly when superficial gas velocities within 8.2699 m/s 12.0675 m/s. Above aforementioned velocities, became uniformly distributed walls hence reducing at bottom core center pipe. More so, annular-slug discovered investigation. At velocity 0.0505 m/s-0.1355 – m/s, prominent. Also 0.0903 - 0.1355 respect 13.1692 23.4575 are fully covered very entire (upper bottom). this experiment is wavy upper walls. that flows walls, creeps flow. Therefore, behavior an could grouped into; wavy-flow center.
